Everything you buy these days from the grocery stores has some kind of chemicals in it.
Back when I trapped a bunch, I always used corn with diesel in it... worked good for hogs. Nothing else would touch it... coons would after it was rained on. I never "soaked" in diesel, i'd just pour some over the corn in a bucket and stir it up.
And it tasted just like every other hog in the woods.
