Really sorry to that she didn't make it. I always man handle my dogs when I pet them. If they won't let you look at something it is very bad and I know if it is a good dog I go straight to the vet. It is all about the dog being used to being inspected and handled. In a dog pack a severely injured dog is rejected. So the dog will not want you to know because instinct kicks in. So make the dog comfortable and get to the vet fast. With that some dogs never want to get inspected and they are hard to know.
