I bought the long ranged antenna, and broke it before i ever got to use it.    I also mostly walk hunt, and it was a pain in the butt to carry around. I bought the garmin carrying case, disconnected the antenna from the handle, and put it in there. I broke the end off of mine trying to crawl under a blown down tree, because the antenna is just too long to carry around.
