I like my old diesel with mechanical injection pump and no electronics for the mud. It is the axles that break with bigger tires so I keep my tires to a reasonable size and use the power of a diesel. But for pulling trailers I hate Ford. My dad likes Fords but he don't even know how many transmissions he has gone through. When it comes to trailers I would pay more attention to the transmission than the engine. Yeah make sure you got the engine but when the trans goes out it don't matter. That and the brakes. A diesel will have the torque for mud or pulling and the name doesn't matter. It is all about what you like. I will stick with old reliable stuff myself.
