Neither will perform that great in the mud with an engine that weighs 5000 pounds.  But for pulling, either will get the job done.  They all have injector problems, but the cummings seem to have less issues all around than the other two (Ford, Chevy).  Only problem is the truck will fall apart around a Dodge.  I have a 6.Uh-oh and am starting to have issues at 150K. 

I am with country man 563.....get a 7.3 stroke
