Hogs bayed in bad spots?

Yeah we've been in some pretty tough binds before.. Mostly the problem being with caves and washed out creek banks... 2 of the propertes have caves on them that the hogs run to every year.

two stories come to mind, In the first instance we did like Bryant an tied 2 tie ropes to the bull dog, pulled out As many of the cur dogs as we could. Then we sent the CD in and pulled everyone out. That one was about a 200# barr

the next time was alot scarier! We were hunting Big e's lease in Trinity and there is a bad washout at the head of a creek in a youpon/pine thicket. Every year it never fails we end up with a boar hog or 2 that will run to it.. It's relatively easy to get a lariat rope over the hogs mouth usually an then you can get down in there and catch the hog. Well this time we had abt 5 cur dogs down and they bayed a big barr in the wash out. We were in the process of dropping the lariat rope on him when the cur dos got 'froggy' and darted trying to catch him! He was wreaking havoc and cutting dogs down left and right, we had no choice but to cut the CD loose or start losing dogs! We turn him loose, he catches the barr does about 5 circles and then dissappers 15 feet into the bank with every dog following! We could feel the ground moving under our feet as the hog kept trying to dislodge the dogs.. 10 minutes later we finally were able to cut away the matted youpon roots and dig a decent size hole. We got a tie rope over his whetters and was able to turn him where his ass was sticking out towards daylight! Jim ed and I crawled in and drug him out. He went 340#'s!!
