You all absolutly right. We all take chances but at what cost? Our lives? The lives of our dogs? We have all done crazy things hopefully we learn from them, and figure out a better solution. Using the rope or a long lead helps lots of times. I have dropped the pits from the truck to find them burried in an old brush pile, hogs and dogs stuck in trees in tank in near freezing water, or found the dog in a culvert with one open end and grated on the other having to drop in nearly on top of them. Creeks, rivers, washouts it is dangerous but to tell you the truth I hope we all have enough sense to know when too bad is too bad. We can replace a working dog but there is only one of you guys, hope we use some sense in those scenerios.
