Thanks everyone! It was quite the experience. I enjoyed that more than anything else we did while we were there. It was all great but experiencing their style of hunting was priceless to me. We had 7 dogs on the ground. If Tim reads this he'll have to explain but I believe we had two bulldogs (pits) that hunted like a cur, a doberman crossed with a "plot dog". Different than our Plott hounds, smaller ears, not open and rough or all catch. If I had to compare them I'd say they were more our style of cur dogs. We had a couple of dogs with whippet in them.....just a good variety pack of catchy dogs. He wanted them to engage on contact. We actually got outrun by a small "bullet or torpedo" as they call them right off the bat. Heard a few yips and it was off to the races. A small hog is no match for a dog in that stuff....from what I understood they'll usually win due to the thick "tangle fern" that a dog just can't run through. He said at times it took 1 1/2 hours to get to a catch 250 yards away.
Here in Oklahoma we have black berries everywhere. Over in Kauai they had Raspberries.
Stopped at the farmers market and had to try the "Kauai boar".
Anyway hopefully Tim will see this and fill in what I left off.
