Man, I've been around too many top notch, fast as hell dogs to think that a bobbed tail might affect anything... I had my Ellie dog bobbed at 6mnths by the vet, and anyone that ever got to hunt behind her would tell you she was flat out fast...  no steering problems there at all  Wink

My Snappa dog is a natural bob tail, and is as athletic dog as I've been around, moves more like a circus cat on a high wire than a huntin' dog...

Tails just aggrevate the chit out of me... always knockin' kids down(I can't tell you how many times my daughter has asked me not to let Shiner hit her with her tail...), making racket in the dog box, making racket on the palmettos when on lead, and most importantly.... knocking beers over by the campfire!!!  Grin

Not to mention they just look cleaner with a bobtail!   Tongue

Anybody need any puppy tails?   Cheesy
