The breastplate are just like full cut vest. So they have just as much protection as an American cut vest. And I agree I need let my catch dog run miles anyways.
I am not sure I understand this statement. Are you saying that a breast plate has the exact same protection as a catch vest?

Seems to me that everything is a.tradeoff , breast plate - nominal protection, cool running.   Catch vest - maximum protection, hotter than breast plate.



I can see where each has its place, but I can't see where one is better than the other in all applications .
