if anything i would say to use only a pea size and i wouldnt use it on older dog that may have a liver problem....and i personaly would not use it everyday.
All dogs react different to medicine so you run a chance any time you self medicate your animals.
One click/twist of the orange band on Zimectrin is about as big as your pinky nail and/or a pea, not much comes out...sometimes you wonder if anything comes out
I would say if your vet is telling you 1cc per DAY for 60 days that is a pretty substantial amount and if a reaction is going to occur it is going to happen whether it is Ivomec or Zimectrin.
Our vet gave me Mitaban to try for Red Mange on a dog I couldnt get cleared up (I swear by Paramite and Ivomec/Zimectrin) and let me tell you something...I will NEVER recommend that crap to anyone - the side effects of that stuff is intense to say the least!
Another med that sometimes helps is Ketochlor Shampoo, which you can get online. It seems to help the hair come back as well.
