Like Noah said, there is two kinds of gritty... if a dog is gonna act gritty he better go head and latch on and stay on, if not this new breed of hogs we dealin with aint gonna put up with gettin hit while hes tryin to bay, its off to the races for him. Dont feel like you are the only one tryin to figure this puzzle out though, its tons of us tryin to find a group of dogs that will let us catch EVERY hog we get on... And if it makes you feel better, I aint found it yet.. But I have both type of dogs and if I come up on the rite hogs and I have the rite dogs that day, well... I just luck up.
