I haven't noticed a change in my bulldog at all since healing up from the incident. It did however get me to re-think my method of a single catchdog (but that's a whole other topic).
You mentioned that all these things happened over the last month. Don't know the extent of his tooth injury, but I gave mine plenty more time than just a month to heal. He did have pretty invasive surgery on his gum and jawbone however. I didn't want to risk any chance of him biting, then realizing it hurt and turning loose.
