THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.....THE WAY I HAVE SEEN IT OVER THE YEARS IS.....IF YOU ARE GOING TO RUN GRITTY DOGS YOU NEED TO RUN ALL GRITTY AND A FEW OF THEM(5 OR MORE). I PERSONALY RUN LOOSE DOGS AND I HAVE RUNNING CATCH DOGS WITH LONG LEGS...RIDGEBACK AND A CAT...SO WHEN YOUR DOGS BAY(AND DONT TRY TO PUT TOO MUCH MOUTH ON THEM THEY WILL KINDA PUT UP A LIL FIGHT (INSTEAD OF RUN) THEN IT ONLY TAKES THE HOG PUASEING FOR YOUR CATCH TO BE THERE(BECUASE THEY ARE ALREADY ON THE GROUND) BUT THEN AGAIN OUR DOGS YIP ALITTLE (IF THE HOG BREAKS) AND IT HELPS THE CATCHDOGS STICK WITH THEM....WE HAD A GRITTY LIL DOG IN OUR PACK ONCE AND SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WOULD JUMP IN AND TRY TO PUT MOUTH ON(ALOT OF MOUTH) WELL SHE WASNT VERY BIG AND COULDNT HOLD HER OWN AND OUR OTHER DOGS WERENT GOING TO JUMP IN TILL THE CATCH GOT THERE.....EVERY TIME WE WENT OUT WITH HER ON THE GROUND THE HOGS WOULD BREAK BEFORE THE CATCH GOT THERE. SO WE SOLD HER TO A GUY THAT RUNS ALL GRITTY DOGS AND HE LOVED HER. AND OUR DOGS DO JUST FINE NOW.....ITS BEEN A LIL WHILE SINCE WE GOT OUTRAN BUT IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE SOMETIME OR ANOTHER....GOOD LUCK AND HOPE ALL THE INFO EVERYONE IS GIVING HELPS!
