Also, might pull up the specs with a picture of your exact rifle. Hard to argue when you have the manufacturers exact specs. When I measure, hook the tape on the end of the barrel, then set it on a hard surface and measure to the point where it contacts the action. Never measure a barrel when the firearm is disassembled. Trust me, that screw up cost me a Mossberg barrel.
