What I usually do is always carry a black sock with me,, i cut a hole out of the end of it and place it over the dogs head and cover the dogs eyes while I work on them.. It has always seemed to calm down the dogs and then they will be still while you are doing what you have to do,,, Also if you can get your hands on some Zylocain in the bottles,, once you shoot them up with that it deadens the nerve endings and they dont feel nothin..
