Lmao....well Boarninja, i retired my cowboy boots and started wearing rubber boots again after i looked down the other night and had fire ants plum up to my waist. They don't seem to climb rubber boots as well. A lesson well learned.
About 6 years ago I carried one of my sons school buddies hunting with us. He got hung up in a barbed wire fence while headed to a bay and after I had tied the hog, I looked up with my head light and he only had one leg left on his jeans! LOL. About 30 minutes later we heard a commotion and hit him with the lights again. He was going nuts and coming out of his drawers as fast as he could!
He found a nice soft mound of dirt to sit down in while we were listening for dogs and didnt realize it was a huge ant bed! It made it worse that the ants had easy access with one leg missing off of his jeans!
He managed to completely destroy his jeans during that ordeal and finished the rest of the hunt in his underwear! lol.
Gotta watch those fire ants!
