just leave the string hangin out so you can remove it the next day - it is MUCH easier than fishing nasty gauze out!
I learned that trick from my uncle, I never really thought about it and I cannot post what he said but I am sure you can fill in the blanks lol - My mom and other family members said that there was someone that would cut stud horses on Lykes Brothers/Brighton and pack him full of Kotex ... when they fell out he was good to go!
I drove an hour to Clewiston last year just to take out some gauze that I had put in my brother in law's dog because he didnt have the stomache to do it and believe me it was already rank after a day and a half, plus it was hard to fish out because I had to pack it so tight to get it to hold...I repacked it with good ole Tampax for another day just to be sure it held and he had no complaints with taking it out.
