  The hog population in Texas is already and has been at a point where total extinction is virtually impossible without jeapordizing other native wildlife in the process. All that can really be done or hoped for is to control thier numbers and attempt to manage the population. Don't think we will see (in our lifetime) them become extinct or even close. Goverment or not. Imo.
