Absolutely outrageously impressive.   Love that dog.

However, it's not all instinct. Give the Dratts their due, but they are way too much dog for most. If JHY was not the dog trainer and expert hog man it would be another matter. It takes both dog and man working in concert to make it productive.

Bud,

Thank you for the kind words, but I have come to the realization that the dogs are actually training me and the hogs are training us both!LOL  Yoli is a GREAT DOG, but she can be frustrating as well, due to her intelligence level.  She can get into all sorts of trouble.  For instance, If Tammy and I leave her locked up in the bedroom for any extended period of time she can open the clothes drawers (which is solid mahogny chest of drawers) get Tammys pajamas and workout clothes out and lay them across the bed.  Then she will rearrange the furniture by turning the over stuffed chair 90 degrees everytime.  If we leave her in the house she will open and sometimes shut the freezer draw if there is toaster strudel icing in there, but mostly just get into the pantry and steal bread, which she then will hide by stuffing down in the cushions of the couch or chairs.  If we leave her outside she will just get out of  the backyard and team up with Lilly (Jagd) and clear the neighbor hood of cats, coons, and squirrels.  In fact Lilly had one for us last night when we got home.  I shot my first deer with a bow yesterday morning and used Yoli and Lilly to find it.  Cant wait till it gets down below 60 degrees so I can watch Yoli and Lilly flat out HUNT HARD all day.

Also, Yoli is a bay pen dog as well.  Second time ever in a bay pen, first time was practice at Buds house, she placed 14th out of 32 dogs.  Bud, I may go bay her and Lilly in the Bay trial down the road this weekend just to stir those catahoula boys up!
