i just know my dogs bark they all have different speeds and tones of barks but i don't think the first bark found the hog had the opportunity to witness it a few yrs back i was watchin a old dog a young dog on one side of a rivine my old dog was the only top notch dog i have ever owned but my pup at the time was barkin first well i seen the hog laid up under some cedar limbs my old dog was a good 20 yards in front the hog stood up as he was gettin to him i know he saw the hog first and trailed him first but the pup from 20 yards back barked first if i wouldn't of seen it i would of thought my old dog was losin his touch
I would give your young dog the strike! He wasnt barking just to be barking.
