The perfect bay dog would be one that bays loose but puts all kind of teeth on a hog to stop it and when the hog is stopped to bay loose again. When hogs are dogged bad it doesn't matter if the dog bays loose or if it is rough the hog will run. This is what I call educated hogs. The more they get away the smarter they get.
We just need to breed rough dogs that have a lot of nose and will stay on the track untill they catch the hog.
