Thanks Slim,    That is the kind of info that I need.  I have some friends in LE, maybe I can get them to scavenge one for me from a wrecked/surplus unit.

P.S. I do not think any of them are waterproof.

That's why I am looking for a roof mount, hoping that I won't ever end up in 5' of water.

BTW, 
     I will be somewhat in your neck of the woods this weekend. Heading to Seymour to get a little more deer hunting in. Gonna be a LONG drive just to shoot a deer!
