Location is on a need to know basis. Keep in mind there are some wacky people out there and a few on here
X2 most people want some level of anonymity. It is not like we expect to be secret but I don't want someone knocking on my door because they don't like what I typed online. I hate cleaning up the mess they leave when I am done with them.
I have seen many people just ask who's in the area. Someone down the street may see it but would like to left alone and they have the choice. I WOULD NOT like that search feature.
