This topic is touchy and I can see both sides. IMO If a deer hunter shoots your dog; do what you got to do as the deer hunter has already did what they felt they needed to do. Both sides need to think about the implications and consequences of their actions and be prepared to deal with them. No point in talking / typing about it.
