We mostly use catchdogs, but sometimes they are cut up and/ or worn out and our bmc(GONZO) rolls off hogs as soon as the catchdogs get there and will find another....he will run a good 500+ yard and bay. so my husband always has his gun either on his horse or in the truck and will go in and shoot the hog. Sometimes we just take one or two bay dogs and rally a pack and shoot 3-4 at a time. either way you still get hogs
Now i may seem like a bitch but i do not let anyone but my husband shoot around my dogs. he has a pretty good shot, i cant say the same for some of the other guys. so im not taken any chances of my dogs getting shot by someone els. jmo, Mrs. Kbar
