Hi,

I made a cut vest from fire hose at least 20 years ago. I put 2 strips in girth area and 1 across the chest and straps across the back much like the modern vest. I used nylon straps and rivets. They worked well, I have not had many bulldogs but I tried to take care of them. Sorry I have no pics at all.... I have a hard time beating the prices on store bought cut vest and bay vest. But with that being said fire hose and rivets are cheap, lol....
