Buying a dog on trial is no better than buying it without. Nor is having a contract written. It is all a gamble. Go hunt with the dog first or suffer the consequences!!!
That dont always work either.I watched a dog hunt his butt off out to 800 yds then he shut down a big boar.Bought him,took him huntin and he
just stood at my feet and looked at me.Dropped him in fresh sign,and he just stood at my feet lookin at me.I was about to get disgusted but I
seen this dog work before I bought him.Dropped him out with my gyp caught a couple hogs and hes startin to come back around.Just gotta remember a dog still has a mind of his own and sometimes it just takes time to adjust.
x2- some times it can take weeks before they settle in....i dont believe that the only dogs people sell are the dogs people dont want...i sold a cat male that i raised from a pup and is a decent dog ...nothing wronge with him...my other dogs out hunted him some...but he can find his own hogs and is fully broke....we had a litter of pups from the same bloodlines and needed space...so sometimes your not buying other peoples trash. ...now on the trial part...there are a lot of thiefs out there...your better off buying from someone you know or that are well known(like us good people on here;)) Good luck on futer buying!!! p.s it is 10 x better if you have the time to train your own pups. i fill like its more rewarding when your dog you trained yourself finds and catches their own hogs
