3 catchdogs,a gang bang of cur dogs and a med size hog.....she is the best I ever seen.....put me on the list for a pup next tine you breed her ....I need some better dogs
For being a house dog. She did do good. I am not sure why all of the sarcasm? She is my baby and she always wants to go but I continually say "No" for fear she may get hurt. A veterinarian told me if I really care about my dog I shouldn't let her go hog hunting. He see's hog dogs come into his office, etc. So, I would never let her go. However, now that her pups are out of our house/yard, with the promise of her being all vested up, I let my hubby take her.
Seeing that this is only the 2nd time she has been out around hogs in a hunting environment, she fell right in, locked on the front end of the hog and did great. I probably won't let her go all the time, but I shouldn't have to feel like I have to defend my house dog's hunting capabilities.
I used to be a member on Archerytalk.com and the many forums on the website would take jabs at someone because they shot a Matthews, Hoyt, PSE, Bowtech, etc. It was so ridiculous and juvenile. I hope this isn't a repeat of the drama over there.
PS. I am so happy to hear all of the great comments from owners of Layla's pups. She is a great mama, and her pups always have a great dispositon, and from what I hear, hunt great as well. Keep enjoying them as I enjoy their mama!
