ivermectin is safe for most breeds.  It can be fatal to a collie and maybe shepard too, not sure why.  I've used on all of my dogs except my collie looking one and not had a problem.  I use 1cc per hundred pounds, or a tenth of a cc per ten pounds.  So a fifty pound dog would get a half cc.  I usually mix it with something like dr pepper or big red with the fizz taken out to help it go down easier.  Had an old timer tell me recently that he would put the ivomec on a piece of bread and feed it.
