I feel there are as many in both male and female from what I have seen...
If I HAD TO train one dog up for a "one dog contest for your life".... it would probably be a male....
I am, however, from the horseman perspective on breeding... Years ago, I heard a great trainer say, "You can rent that stud, but you better OWN that mare"... Very true...
My Shine is one of the great ones... from day one she has simply produced hogs...TROPHY HOGS... by herself. Time will tell if she is as great a producer... Bred her to the best dog I could find after, shall we say, "extensive" research...
... The product of this matching, to my standards, one of ten is as good, if not better than her so far... What does that mean? Who knows... My gut tells me it's a rarity that a great dog produces itself or better...
Shiner, one bay dog, one catch dog, consistently.
And now a question for you Marvin, have not heard much about your cur dogs(which I assume this question is pertaining to), but would like to hear about them.
As for your Dogos, PaulT's "Adora" seems to be one of the better specemins I've seen you produce, what are your thoughts on that pertaining to the same question?
