I have a female that is half plott and half mountain curr. She is the best dog we have ever owned and she is seven. Let me but it this way, anything you want her to find she will. Just show her the scent before the hunt or depending on the way we are hunting she knows what to look for. Have had four litters outta her and had a 100% turn out which is very rare, she had one pup which was her first litter(she got rattle snake bit and was lucky to be alive much less to have a pup) honestly have to say was better than her but sadly he had to be put down two years ago after being paralized. Her fourth litter of pups is only four weeks old so hoping that we will have the same success, will keep you guys informed.
