I use Fish back bones, and/or expired doughnuts, cakes, cookies etc. You will have to see what works in your area. The same bait might not work year round. I don't trap too far from water or wet ground in the spring and summer.
You might be competing with natural food sources too. This time of year hogs are eating toxic roots to get rid of worms.
