The bear dog guys I've been around have told me a good bear dog is usually too rough to be a hog dog...

I had the displeasure to see a set of good bear dogs fall off onto a boar hog we were runnin' on the same property yrs ago...

One after another, I saw some fine hound dogs come draggin' out of the woods after tanglin' with that ol' boar.... some of the worst cut up dogs I ever seen.... Flat out got butchered....
