I didn't realize that there was such a thing as too much hound.....just kiddin', I was a hound man for many many years and still love to hunt with them. I now have 2 cur dogs that I'm perfectly happy with....one is 1/2 Plott..1/2 cat and is totally silent on track. I had one Plott that was silent.....only hound I've ever had that didn't open on track. Been my experience that a cur of any sort crossed with Plott will have the most likelyhood of being silent on track of any hound cross that I've seen. Hey,....a little hound is a good thing in my book. Good luck with your crosses if you try it.
