Just might work....    All of my dogs are a 1/4 to an 1/8 bird dog(English Pointer)..  I can see the eventual need to cross back on either another bird cross or straight bird to keep the level of hustle I like in my dogs.

Trick is findin' a bird dog that's built right... alot of 'em are built kinda funky to be an efficient hog dog....
