There was another fella in Dayton Texas that  free ranged a herd of them until the late 80's when he passed away according to the land owner of the place we were hunting.
He told me the story after we hunted his place one day. I came back telling him he either had wild burrows or unicorns running around. I had never heard of a mule footed hog until then.
