I seen a hog flat run off with one this size on his ear and another pit tring to catch up again and hanging on his butt ended up losing him. That is why I like longer legged heavier cds
I have seen several bigger cd that actually hunt go quiet through thick stiff, not just bust through it loud as a heard of elephants. The trick is that they are actually "hunting", not just catching, they pick a path of least resistance through the woods and almost sneak in. Its actually weird to watch if you get a chance, they go in with almost a swagger about them. All the ones that I have seen that are strictly lead in are heard of elephants style. I myself am not so much a fan of this style of crashing through the woods, but I am a fan of bigger cd's. I wish the dog I had right now was a little bigger. Even if it was ten pounds just in height and length, it would probably save me alot of heart ache and give me a little more time in the woods with him, he is 70 lbs.
