Figure out how much those jeans cost back them vs the colectable value now, figure out how much that Chevy truck sold for vs collectable value today, wonder how much chaps cost back then, how much for that cowdog trained, check out the skinny belts, the kewl shirts withe snaps and slanted pockets, the belt buckles etc etc, thats got to be early 60's before urban cowboy Jon Ravolta and Sissy ruined the classic cowboy boot and clothing for 20 years. I went into a Puriena store the other day down in Corpus, all the sissy candy awrse boots had square toes and they had no snap on work shirts liek tractor supply sells, no Palm Leaf Hats either, I too old and remember the old guys dressed in Kahi;s shirts and pants with extra tucked in the boots. Heck nowdays there are no boot or saddle shops left that arent chains with made in Chinkesse mechandise alas. When is the last time you saw somebody hauling a horse or cow in the back of a truck with sideracks??? Glory days are gone gone gone, peeps from Dallss Uston bought up all the old ranches, put up deer fences, bulldozed all the old bunkhouses, dipping vats and corrals into a big pile and buried and burned them to smithereens. I sold some jackets to the Japanese for huge money one time, shiped some worn out chaps strained with Black62 screwworm medicne to a bar owner in Germany, crazy how everybody longs for the days of old. But life goes on, i bet now there are more hogs in Texas than cattle. They used to get 3000 to 6000 head runs in my local auction barn, now 700 is a huge run, its the same over at Three Rivers, deer fences and no cattle on ranches and runs like at 1000 head usual. Now you got city people on ranches calling the shots and hiring non city managers, makes it hard to get on a place to hunt with dogs unleess they are ate up and only then
