I have to say that yall can come up with some pretty good excuses for why a dog will trash on something.

Im a realist, I think that any dog that has good prey drive will naturally go after other animals besides a hog but if it still produces hogs then so be it.

They can be trash broken but I would choose what to break them off of carefully. Like cattle and deer. JMO

Another popular excuse, "too much scent on the ground". The reasons for too much scent on the ground and not finding a pig are several.
1. dog is not a real good strike dog
2. dog doesn't know how to straighten out a track
3. handler doesn't guide the dog correctly (young dog)
4. dog doesn't have a nose
5. dog just doesn't have it between the ears
