Thats the reason i wanted curs, I got tired of spendin all my time lookin for dogs. But i still havnt found what im lookin for, 300 - 500 yds would be ideal for me. 800- 1000 too far, unless they run one that far, i dont want them huntin out that far.
My hounds will go til they find one, they dont have a shut off limit. The curs i have so far are 200 yd dogs, wich i like sometimes, gonna try the hound cur cross, and try to get a happy medium. Cause i havnt found any curs to suit me or i would just use them.
no doubt your hounds do not know when to stop!!! lol When you come down ill hook u up with a good mid range cur dog, I wouldnt cull that Rathke pup just yet I think she should make a top hand. Cross her with one of them plotts them puppies ought to b just about right... and remember to save me one!!!
