I like a shorter range dog. My dogs hunt out between 100 and 500 yards. I like to see my dogs working and where there at. I dont want to be lokking at the garmin the whole hunt! I dont hunt places big enough to run dogs that hunt out 1200 yards or 2 miles. If i had dogs that went that far hunting they would stay in the pens and i would be looking for different dogs!  JMO
