I have about 6-8 of those water nipples if you want to try them out, they are in a bucket in my garage.
Are they in a bucket because you didn't like them, or just haven't gotten around to installing them?

Is there a functional difference in the pig nipple vs the Lixit?
I don't know how the dogs would do on the pig nipples but they look heavy duty...
I have used 6 lixit dog waterers for at least 10 years and only had one that developed a drip and I changed it out...
Puppies and dog learn how to use them very easily and quick. I just rubbed a little bacon grease on the lixit nipple and the pups/dogs learned on their first day.
