I have a dog get poked by one on his cheek, his face swelled up bigger than any cut from a hog.  They got some nasty chit in their saliva I think.

Same thing happened to my bulldog his neck got really swollen. I hunt around beeville and goliad there's a lot of them but don't run into them much. The very first time we did it tore some dogs up and mostly on the back end of the dog hind legs and azz.
