I use to Hunt alot at my ranch in south Texas and javelinas stink and are nastier than a hog I think and will deffinately wear a dog out... More like a pack of coyotes than a herd of hogs, not scared of the dogs and don't run off they just wad up and fight and are more athletic... Seem to have a distinctive smell so I'm sure they could b broke off of them but I wouldn't know how to do it... Probably be takin a chance of breaking them off hogs too at the same time. Jmo
