I am no way an expert on the breed.  Yes, probably too many are overly aggressive.  There is a fine line between aggression and prey drive. 

I have one that is overly aggressive and I keep thinking "today will be her last hunt", but some how she keeps coming home.  I have written her off as living on borrowed time.  If you don't mind that part of owning a Jagd it's great. 

Boarding and handling can be a pain, but the trade off is a great hunting dog.  She is fixed so her aggression will not be passed on.
