Just starting to see the price gouging going on here in NE Oklahoma. I checked craigslist tonight and saw two seperate ads asking $10 for a square bale. Last year we felt like we were getting ripped to pay $3. And I know its even worse for ya'll down in TX. Our hay guy up here said his phone is ringing off the hook with people looking for hay. Everything he has cut or is going to cut is already sold. Said he usualy hauls a bunch to TX, but there is such a demand around here right now there is no need to do so. He also said he is cutting a lot fields now he normally wouldnt mess with due to weeds and all, but he knows people are going to be needing something, even if it is not the best and he can't get the money he could get for good clean hay.  Looks like its going to be a long hard winter for a lot of people with little to no chance of a second cut around here. I imagine this winter there will be some good deals to be found on some good horses and livestock due to people not being able to feed them.
