A good cur can find a hog even in dry conditions. Last week I got a 5 year old mtn cur gyp and a 1 year old mtn cur male pup, both are coon dogs and they are fixing to be hog dogs...Also bought a half redbone half pitbull pup today.. He is 7 months old, gamey and is built for speed and has looks. Time will tell...
I have hunted kemmer and original mtn curs and they can find a pig in most any terrain or weather conditions.
