Rueben,

Why don't you just get some of the blood you had in 2007? It's only been four years... Surely it hasn't been watered down too bad.

Here is what happened...lost a dog to cancer about that time.  lost 2 to heat exhaustion. lost another to a broken jaw. I gave a good one away and it hung itself. Lost one due to cold weather and another to a hog.

The last 3 of the full blood... I sold...one of those was stolen, one disappeared from the tracking system. That one was as good as the best I had. The other was sold on the net because he was semi open on track.

I bred to a father and son that had 1/2 my old blood and the gyps didn't take. I should of had pups this month.

A kid has a good mtn cur gyp but does not want to breed her because she is his main strike dog.

I know of a few others that are culls.

I also have made an agreement to breed to a male that is an awesome dog but I was holding off because he is 1/2 bmc of the wrong strain.

There is another female that is 1/2 bmc but from top bmc blood. I am trying for a deal on that one.

I have a plan but probably will be slow going. I think I can get about 1/2 my old blood going but will try to breed in a 1/4 pit because I want shorter races. Probably lose nose and a little hunt because of it.

I very seldom gave a dog or pup away but it turns out that most folks didn't like a long range dog or a dog that was semi open... Grin First thing they did was add bmc and pit. We call that different strokes for different strokes.

I would like to have the same dogs as before but have about 1/8 to 1/4 pit. I want shorter races even if I lose some hunt and nose.

Last week I got 2 full kemmer dogs and today I bought a half redbone half pitbull. He is 7 months old and looks good and is gamey.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
