For us to go back the days of the republic, its gonna take another revolution.
What we really mean is civil war, don't we charles? And I'll freely admit that I'm scared to death of that. Having seen it in Iraq I will unashamedly say I am afraid. I have no answers. I'm no deep thinker. I just know our nation is sick... and our politicians aren't the cause of the sickness... just a symptom. We The People are what's wrong.

Voting rights for land owners, tax payers, honorably discharged military.
If you are on any form of govt assistance, no voting rights....get a job, and get your vote back... Term limits, drug tests for everyone that receives a check from the govt. From welfare recipients all the way up to the potus. You fail, no more checks.
